THE FLY WITH GRACE JOURNEY
GRACE HANA PARK
Founder | Lead Teacher
Hi~ I’m Grace!

I grew up in the Chicago suburbs with two older brothers and Korean immigrant parents. After graduating from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Chemistry, I followed my intuition and moved to Seoul, South Korea, where I taught English at a Korean public elementary school. That leap changed my life. It was in Korea that I discovered two of the greatest gifts in my life: my husband and Aerial Yoga and Yoga.

Today, I serve the Greater Austin area and the global online aerial community, sharing my passion through clear, detailed, and intentional instruction rooted in love and grace.

I regularly lead workshops and trainings for studios throughout the Greater Austin area and South Korea, and I am proud to have certified many teachers who now guide others across Austin’s aerial community. The vision is to continue expanding both locally and globally, while one day growing into a larger community space where more students can fly together.

HOW IT BEGAN
South Korea: Discovering Aerial Yoga & Yoga
I took my first class in April 2014, and the rest is history. Before long, I was the girl at the studio taking two to three classes a day.
With my husband’s unwavering support, I boarded a flight to Rishikesh, India, to join my first 200-hour YTT program in October 2016.

Once I returned, I began teaching immediately. For two years, I rented a studio every weekend to lead classes for foreigners living in Korea, while also teaching yoga to adults and kids aerial yoga in Korean!
HOW IT EVOLVED
San Diego & Austin: FWG Method is Born
In June 2018, life took us to San Diego, where I officially became certified in Aerial Yoga & Kids Aerial Yoga. Less than a year later, life shifted again, and we moved to Austin, Texas. There, I began teaching at two studios, often leading up to six classes a day while maintaining a strong & dedicated self-practice.

In 2019, I felt another pull to keep growing, and it led me to India again. I traveled to Mysore for my 300-hour YTT, continuing to follow the path that has always called me.

Those years shaped me deeply. Through teaching so many students, I was able to observe recurring patterns, refine my eye as a teacher, and begin writing my teacher training manuals so that this knowledge could be preserved and passed on.

WHERE IT IS TODAY
A private studio experience designed with flexibility in mind
Today, I am grateful to work closely with my students, supporting their growth with care, clarity, and intention. Hearing them say, “This is the best part of my week,” continues to touch my heart every time. I also lead workshops and trainings at other studios locally and in South Korea, and I am proud to say that FWG has certified over 30 teachers.
WHERE IT'S GOING
Growing locally and globally
One day, Fly With Grace will become a beautiful space where many of us can practice and elevate together. The vision is to continue growing both the local and online aerial community, with the hope that flyers from around the world may one day gather in one beautiful, supportive community.
